Then in January 2019, a small cottage, used as a cafe many years ago, came up for rent in their local village. Stephanie and Laura pounced. And by the end of July, with the paint still drying, they opened the doors to the Grangecon Kitchen.
Our Head Chef Rose OToole works with local food producers and farmers to create a menu that is exciting for the tastebuds and good for the land. We make everything from scratch. We also use a large amount of vegeletables and salad leaves that we grow ourselves on the farm.

OUR STORY
Early in the morning, as the village still sleeps, Grangecon Kitchen is bustling - loaves of sourdough are being baked, fresh doughnuts being filled with cardamom custard, pistachio and orange cake cut into generous slices, cinnamon buns being dusted and the coffee machine warming up. It seemed to have come about overnight - this quiet corner of Grangecon village transformed into a local gathering place where great food awaits.

In fact co-founders Laura and Stephanie have long shared a passion for food made from locally sourced, seasonal ingredients, inspired by flavours from all over the world. The idea of creating tasty dishes for their local community has long been a dream, even at times it seemed a distant one.
